Police arrested a mentally ill parolee on suspicion of attacking an officer at a store in southeast Fresno late Tuesday night.
The assault happened when the officer and other officers were trying to arrest the man as he punched the store's front glass door at 4226 E. Tulare St. about 10:30 p.m., police said. The officer was treated at Community Regional Medical Center and released.
